There's a lot of crazy gadgets out there meant for record cleaning! It gets even crazier with record cleaning solutions! There's some way out there shit! I've seen it all and record cleaning can be as out there as Area 51, Reptilian aliens running our government, covid vaccine population control and Tupac still smoking blunts in Cuba! The last 2 are actually true btw.

Some budget labels savers are straight garbage while others like Groovemaster might break the bank! Some record cleaning machines like the Spin Clean run for about $80 and professional record cleaning and vacuum machines can run as much as 2 racks!

I been cleaning my records by hand since my teens! Although it may require more labor, it pretty much takes as much time as all them other crazy gadgets! The way I look at it, what would you rather pay for? An automatic car wash at the gas station for your firme ranflita or a quality car wash done by hand and by professionals? Its your choice! How can a machine honestly get a good limpia on your firme rolas? And the best thing is you don't need to be a professional to clean your records, just some patience, clean running water and all the right tools and cleaning solutions!

The only challenge I ever found with cleaning a record by hand is keeping the label dry! Obsessed, I finally found an affordable and practical way to clean my records while keeping the label dry! The results are to kill for!

Personally I believe in taking care of your records! But I also believe in being practical and and sustainable. And high priced BS audiophile mumbo jumbo is usually not practical and not affordable, therefore not sustainable!

These Label Saver Record Cleaners are made by hand with house tools and easily accessible materials you can buy at Home Depot. And guess what, it works!

Comes with 4 air-tight label savers with gaskets for ultimate air tight pressure to keep your labels dry during wet cleaning. Watertight, acceptable for marine use. Comes with one 45 adapter, 2 washers, knobs and a budget non-abrasive brush for wet cleaning.

How I clean my records!

1.) Put the 45 adapter on your record. Sandwich and screw your rola tightly between your Label Savers. There should be 2 Label Savers on each side to create enough air tight pressure.

2.) Spray wax (vinyl grooves) with a mix of light non-toxic liquid dish soap and distilled water. Any non-toxic liquid dish soap is ok, I try to use dish soap made with natural ingredients from the local Target or Walmart. I heard of people using crazy chemicals like photo flo or triton, its not that serious, dish soap is fine and can be found anywhere!

3.) Run under clean hot running water and scrub with a clean non-abrasive brush. Rince and repeat until all suds and soap are cleaned off. Yes your basically washing your records like dishes! Do not air dry. Instead, dry with a clean microfiber towel.

4.) For records that need a little extra love, spray with Enzymes. I use Mofi PLUS Enzyme Cleaner, its pretty good and there's no need for crazy homemade enzymes and pricey enzyme solutions. Spray Enzymes and scrub with a non-abrasive brush, let it sit for about 5 minutes, then dry with with a microfiber towel.

5.) Spray wax with Ethyl Alcohol. During covid, Ethyl Alcohol is rare as hen's teeth but Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol will do the job. Any percent is ok and feel free to cut with distilled water. Ethyl or Ethanol Alcohol is preferred because it dries faster and doesn't leave residue, simply its more pure and cleaner. Scrub with a non-abrasive brush, then dry with a microfiber towel.

That's it, throw these bad boys in some fresh sleeves!

No need to be fancy, I use microfiber cloths from the dollar store, so long as they absorb, lint free, non-abrasive and most importantly, clean! It will do the job!

I use Quickie hand and nail brushes.

This process will increase the sound by atleast one grade!
